WHAT IS BRAINSPOTTING?

A type of therapy that utilizes the brain's natural abilities. When they say the eyes are the windows to the soul - we have discovered the visual field is a window of our mind used for memory recall. 

HOW IT WORKS

Using a feeling, smell, or event to recall a memory spot in the individual's visual field helps process heightened events that are stored in the subcortical brain. 
This area of the brain is responsible for motion, consciousness, emotions, and learning. 
This therapy is an advancement in EMDR that focuses on one visual spot in order to go deeper. 

The brain's memory of a particular moment is reset in the body and brain through Brainspotting. This allows the "stuckness" to subside and homeostasis to return.
